When did you join roller derby? February 2017

What brought you to Free State? On a random whim, I attended an open house and decided to join the Fresh Meat program. Everyone was really awesome, so I kept coming back. At some point I bought my own skates and said to myself “I guess I’m doing this roller derby thing now?!?" Now, roller derby is a great, big part of my heart and I don't want to have a life without it!

How did you find Free State? I saw Free State Roller Derby in some sort of Montgomery County bulletin.

Which leagues/teams are you affiliated with? (e.g. Suzies, Villains, Team Maryland, DCRG, CCRG, etc)

Are you a member of any committees or have off-skates roles?

I am a member of the Fundraising committee. I love working with local breweries, restaurants, and business for our fundraising happy hours and other events.

Do you have a skating/athletic background? Nope. I learned it all at Free State!

Likes : The feeling that causes you to close your eyes and smile when you eat/drink something amazing, hear your favorite song live, are reflecting on a really good day, etc.

Dislikes: The feeling of intense dread you get when you realize that you forgot your Chapstick, causing you to question if you have an unhealthy addiction to a lip moisturizing product.

What is your Non-Derby-Related job? Environmental Scientist

Pre-Bout ritual: I usually eat some sort of energy bar; listen to energizing, female-fronted music; and stretch.
