As the only women’s, flat-track roller derby league in Montgomery County, MD, Free State Roller Derby (FSRD) is hometown and homegrown. Founded in November 2009, FSRD is 100 percent volunteer-run by a growing group of devoted skaters and Fresh Meat, and is backed by a dedicated crew of referees and non-skating officials (NSOs).

Grab your dancing shoes! You're invited to watch our Black-Eyed Suzies and Rock Villains tango with worthy opponents in this double header.
Grab your Valentines, Galentines, and Palentines - It's time for the perfect date, the FSRD Valentine's Mixer Tournament!
Featuring three mixer teams for a round-robin tournament: Cupid Crushers (white), Heart Breakers (red), and Black Diamonds (black). The team that wins the most games (or, if it's a draw, scores the most points) will be the MVPs of our hearts—and the tournament!
Doors open at 3:30pm. Please bring your own chair, beanbag, floor cushion, or comfy lap!

It is Free State Roller Derby's 10th birthday this year and we are keeping the party going with more cake.
Free State Roller Derby members will be competing for the title of Star Baker and you get to be the judge. With a suggested $5 donation, you are invited to taste the creations and vote for your favorites in two categories:
Presentation (it has to look amazing!) and
Taste (it has to taste good!).
Bakes may include cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, bread, and any manner of baked goods.
We hope you can join us for a baking competition of roller derby proportions at True Respite Brewing Company on July 24th at 6:30pm.
This weekend, Charm City Roller Derby is hosting their annual B-team tournament and you can catch the action at The Gardens Ice House.
Our own Rock Villains will be playing first thing Saturday. Whistle at 8:45 a.m.!
